As you may be able to tell, Mapawatt is a big fan of Amory Lovins. He talks the talk, and walks the walk. Not only that, but he has been walking the walk for more than 30 years.
His energy efficient Colorado home was built in 1982 and the conservation technologies he used back then were many of the same ones you can use today in your home.
As it tends to do, technology has advanced in the 25+ years since Amory last retroffited his home, so he’s just finishing up the second go-round.
You may not be able to afford or implement all of what Amory is doing, but hopefully you can find a few of his strategies that you can implement in your own life.
