Yes, you read the title right.  We're giving our $95 energy saving guide to you for free, as long as you sign up for our newsletter.  Just click this link to get the Mapawatt Energy Saving Guide.   How do we know it is worth $95? Because we pulled that number out of thin air, and we can assign whatever value we want to it.  But really, for being about 10 pages long, it is probably one of the best resources we've seen for saving energy, but then again, we may be a bit biased.  Another way to get our Energy Saving Guide for free is to Like our Mapawatt's Facebook Page.

The guide is titled, "5 Cheap, Quick, and Easy Energy Saving Tips", and was written for the energy saving novice in mind.  These are things you can do in your home immediately, and they won't cost you much money at all.  If you've been reading the Mapawatt Blog for awhile now, chances are you probably know most of these tips, but they will still be an excellent refresher.

Yay for "monitor and track" as #1! For me, the obsession started shortly after looking at charts. :) Microsoft Hohm is actually pretty decent for this, even if you have to enter things manually (some utilities feed them data, too). I wonder if there's any comprehensive list of online account tools for various utilities... Xcel's recently got much better.

Eric, I maintain a <a href="http://mapawatt.com/2009/10/07/list-of-energy-monitoring-tools/" rel="nofollow">list of energy monitors</a>, but I don't track utility tools; however, that's a good idea!
