From Belkin WeMo website:
"The Belkin WeMo Switch lets you turn electronic devices on or off from anywhere inside--or outside--your home. The WeMo Switch uses your existing home Wi-Fi network to provide wireless control of TVs, lamps, stereos, and more. Simply download the free WeMo app, plug the switch into an outlet in your home, and plug any device into the switch. You'll be able to turn that device on or off using your iPhone or iPad. You can even set schedules for your devices and control them remotely using a mobile Internet connection. You can also add additional switches to your home to control more devices."
and
"WeMo is completely modular, allowing you to control as much or as little of your home as you like. You can add multiple switches to your home and turn them all on at once or program each one to turn on or off at certain times.
Belkin also offers the WeMo Switch and WeMo Motion Kit (sold separately) which includes a motion sensor and allows you to use the WeMo app to program a hallway light to turn on when movement is detected."
Unlike the Ecobee Smart Plug, the WeMo does not do any energy monitoring, but it does have the option to add a motion kit. A similar but more advanced (and expensive) product is the UFO Power Center.
